Who is the woman behind the mask?

Not just another pretty face with a beautiful body, this former Playboy model, continues to produce and host major poetry events like her twice-a-year "Poetic License" poetry reading and open mic at the Central Park Naumberg Bandshell in N.Y.C. and her April 2000 "The Millennium Poets' Gathering" at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C.

An active and unique voice on the New York City Tri-State poetry scene, Angela is a regular featured participant in The Alternative New Year's Day Spoken Word/Performance Extravaganza held at the CBGB Lounge every year and hosted by the likes of Jackie Sheeler, Bruce Weber and Maggie Balistreri, and the Annual Poetry Explosion held at the Back Fence and hosted by Radomir Luza, Jr. and Brigid Murnagham.

No Pen

Frantic the poem screams in my head
Shrill, urgent, maddening
Smashing this moment
Commanding expression
If only I had a pen
I would gladly carve it into my flesh
Indignant in its innocent rage
I can't stop the glass from shattering in my skull
Exaltation through agony
The core glows molten
Pleasure eludes me
Streams of sand, tears, wisps
Bleed through this grasp pf my aching fists
I wish poetry on no one without a pen
I wish poetry on no one without a pen
